Canopy is the city’s latest creative workspaces, opening Autumn 2025 – a redevelopment of a run down collection of buildings.
Canopy involves the redevelopment of the former Pilot House location, just south of the city centre.
Managed by Leicester City Council and LCB Workspace, Leicester’s Creative Industries Hub, CANOPY aims to provide 34,000 square feet of high-quality, contemporary workspace tailored for businesses in the creative and design sectors.
The facility is designed to be a destination for both large and small-scale creative enterprises, fostering a vibrant community of tenants, visitors, and customers. At the heart of CANOPY will be a distinctive café/restaurant, operated in partnership with a selected provider, to animate the space and serve as a social hub for the creative community.
CANOPY represents a significant investment in Leicester’s creative economy, supporting several hundred new jobs and facilitating the growth of a dynamic creative community. The development aligns with the city’s broader strategy to enhance its cultural and creative industries infrastructure.
